Event - New off-road duathlon set for Grizedale

A NEW off-road multisport event takes place in Grizedale Forest next month.
The Grizedale Off Road Duathlon Challenge features two 6.5k trail runs split by a 24k mountain bike ride.
The event on Sunday, March 14 will be based at Grizedale Visitor Centre near Hawkshead.
Organisers say tyhere is almost 5,000 feet of ascent in the whole course with the bike routei ncorporating the North Face Trail.
It is the first time a duathlon has been held at Grizedale thanks to the permission of the Forestry Commission and it is designed to be a challenge for all levels of ability.
