WOMEN are being asked to stroll under the stars to help smash a fundraising target for one of South Lakeland’s biggest charities.
St Mary’s Hospice, in Ulverston, is hosting its fourth Walk To Remember takes place on Friday, May 14, raising money for the charity which provides care for people with terminal illnesses.
Last year, 630 ladies took part in the 11k moonlit walk at Barrow, raising £50,000 and organisers hope they can at least match that total. The hospice needs about £5,000 a day to run.
