A KENDAL man was assaulted by two men whilst walking his dog in the town last night.
The 53-year-old was approached as he walked on a cycle path that runs alongside the play park area close to Valley Drive, between 11pm - 11.45pm last night (Tuesday).
The men asked the victim for cigarettes and when he said he didn't have any, they punched him in the face and stomach.
The victim sustained grazing to his face.
The first man is described as white, in his late teens/early 20s, approx 5'10- 5'11", of a stocky build with broad shoulders.
He was wearing an olive green hoody and blue denim jeans.
The second man was white, in his late teens or early 20s, approx 5'8" tall and was slightly slimmer than the first male.
He was wearing a chocolate brown coloured hoody and blue denim jeans.
