Grass fires blaze at Furness farms

FIRE fighters are tackling blazes at two Furness farms.

Six fire engines raced to Low Moss Farm, in Broughton-in-Furness when a grass fire broke out at 7.43am.

Rescuers are using hose reels to tackle the flames.

Then at 12.15pm this afternoon, a grass fire began on land at Hazel Head Farm, in Ulpher.

Another six engines from Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service are currently at the scene.
