EXTRA support is being given to help Cumbrian farmers hit by last year’s flooding.
Defra ministers will work with the North West Development Area and the Local Action Groups to put in place arrangements for a new temporary post to work with all affected farms, backed up by qualified advisers.
They will also visit the worst hit farms to see if extra grants can be given, in addition to the grants of up to £6,800 which were announced in December.
