KENDAL town centre is to be ‘flashmobbed’ today.
As part of a co-ordinated event held at various locations across the UK people are expected to stop still in their tracks in Market Place at around 12.30pm.
The Big Freeze event, which has been organised through online social networking sites such as Facebook, will start shortly after the sounding of an airhorn. After around ten seconds participants will stop what they are doing and stand unflinchingly still for around five minutes before another airhorn blast signals the end of the event and they continue moving again.
Orgainisors have described the event as “simply a bit of fun”.
