First acts announced for Kendal Calling

DANCE promoters APE and Wax:On will take over the Dance Tent at Kendal Calling this summer.

The popular event will take place at Lowther Deer Park between Friday, July 30 and Sunday, August 1.

This year will see the event double in size to include eight stages over three nights with 8,000 tickets on sale.

Dan Blackledge, of Wax:On said: "Over the last few years Kendal Calling has grown to become one of the most innovative and exciting festivals in the country and we are extremely pleased to be involved this year.

"We’ll be bringing in some massive headline talent alongside some amazing upcoming DJs and live artists from the world of electronic music."

Festival director Ben Robinson said: "We can assure people that with Ape & Wax:On building our line ups we are going to have an energetic and electric feel that will be a literally mind-blowing experience for all our dance music lovers.”
