Kendal Town 3, Eastwood Town 1.
AN emphatic first half performance clinched Kendal's place in the before Ricky Mercer gave them a deserved lead poking home from close range a Ged Smith free kick.
Man of the match David Foster then scored what was probably the best goal of the season. He raced away with the ball from inside his own half with the covering defender struggling to get back.
Fisterm then cut back inside his man, shifted the ball to his left foot an curled a 15-yard shot into the top left hand corner of the Eastwood net.
A minute later Foster made the goal which effectively put the match beyond Eastwood, again breaking down the right, but this time squaring the ball to Lee Ashcroft who hammered home Town's third.
The second half was scrappy, but with the back four holding firm Kendal had done enough to earn an away match play-off game against fourth-placed Willenhall Town on Monday.
