A little boy who had been found abandoned in a market has become the fourth child to find a loving home at Genesis House.
Yan, who is three-and-a-half years old, has joined three other youngsters at the home, in a village near Kiev, which was paid for largely with donations from kind-hearted Cumbrian people.
Readers of The Westmorland Gazette were big contributors to the house, where foster parents already care for Sofia, Anton and Marina.
Pat Wright, the Kendal grandmother who founded the New Beginnings charity, which runs Genesis House, said that Yan was an "absolutely wonderful" little boy.
