10:00pm Saturday 14th January 2006 in
Bridlington Town 1, Kendal Town 2.
Left winger Ged Smith struck twice in eight minutes as Kendal Town knocked Bridlington Town off top spot in the UniBond League First Division.
After a goal less first half Wilson fired Bridlington ahead on 67 minutes only for Smith to equalise a minute later.
In the 76th minute the reliable winger struck again, as Town stay unbeaten in the league since early October.
The result leaves Town still in fourth place, but now only one point behind new leaders Mossley and with games in hand over second placed Colwyn Bay and Bridlington, who drop to third.
It was a remarkable victory for Town who still have four key players injured or suspended.
On Tuesday evening Town are home to Bamber Bridge in a United Co-op Lancashire Cup quarter-final match. Kick-off at 7.45pm.
