SIR, The solution for the A590 is not a new bypass, but less speeding and overtaking at dangerous places - better judgement and more careful driving, not the other way around. Statistically, of course, the more traffic on the road, the more chance of an accident and more contribution to global warming so, therefore, we should think about cutting down on car use. If you really think about it, it is logical that all the above points can be the answer and solution to the problem (if applied).

Building a new bypass will be just putting the traffic on to a new road, with the same consequences, if the aforementioned are not applied. To treat the cause you have to go to the root of the problem, otherwise you will never dispel it.
