THE DUST finally settled on Kendal's season with a 20-10 win at Fylde and the news that neighbours Wharfedale escaped joining those two clubs in being relegated to North 3.

Launceston became the third club to take the drop after their other three rivals all won.

Penzance and Henley were promoted with Moseley and Rugby coming down from National 1.

Looking ahead to Kendal's campaign in North 3 next season, there was good travelling news.

A stroke can be put through some long trips with the relegation of Broadstreet (Coventry), Hull Ionians and Bedford Athletic.

Darlington and Macclesfield are confirmed as coming up.

As reported last week, Ian Voortman has signed for Sedgley Park.

The club is still battling on two cup fronts with the Under-21s through to the semi-finals of the Cumbria U21 Cup (see column six) and Kendal Seconds are due to play at Furness in the Westmorland and Furness Knockout Trophy semi-finals this Saturday (3pm).
