Football Honours even in clash of top two.
Kendal Town 1, Mossley 1.
UniBond League First Division leaders Mossley and second-placed Kendal Town battled out A 1-1 draw at Kendal's Planet Conservatories Stadium on Tuesday night.
Stand-in striker Dene Whittal-Willams, moved up from central defence to fill in for suspended captain Lee Ashcroft headed Town's goal in the 12th minute from a Paul Rigby cross.
After dominating the first half Kendal sat back to defend their lead in the second and paid the price when Andy Thackery headed an 83rd minute equaliser.
The draw maintains Mossley's four-point lead over Town, who face a second tough match this Saturday when they travel to in-form Stockbridge Park Steels who are also bidding for promotion.
