A BLITZ on people in cars not wearing seatbelts has been launched by Cumbria Police.
A crackdown was launched on Monday (March 6) to target those flouting the law.
Inspector Nick Coughlan, who is leading the campaign for Cumbria Constabulary, said: "We are getting increasing evidence that people in cars, particularly young people, seem prepared to take the risk of not wearing seat belts. Given the protectiuon that seat belts provide I find this amazing."
