A MAN still missing on Ullswater has been named as 55-year-old Mark Bryant from Beamsley in North Yorkshire.
Police divers are searching the lake for Mr Bryant, who has been missing since yesterday afternoon.
Search dogs this morning found his dinghy and he was last seen by his partner at 1.30pm yesterday.
When he failed to return from his fishing trip to Side Farm campsite she reported her concerns to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team who commenced a search.
Two mountain rescue teams attended the scene along with four dogs, sent to search the surrounding areas.
Mr Bryant's dinghy was located 150ft north of the steamer pier. The search was halted at around 3.30am and launched again in daylight at 6am by police, coastguard and mountain rescue teams.
He is described as white, of a stocky but slim build with long grey and blond hair and is in his fifties. He was last seen wearing shorts and sailing shoes.
Cumbria Police are appealing for anyone who thinks they may have seen anyone matching this description in the area to contact them on 0845 33 00 247.
