THE body of the 55-year-old fisherman who went missing on Tuesday has been recovered from Ullswater Lake yesterday night(Wednesday).
Cumbria Police’s Underwater Search Team recovered a body at approximately 7.30pm on Wednesday (September 1),concluding a 30-hour search mission.
The body has been now been formally identified as Mark Bryant, from Beamsley, North Yorkshire, by police.
Mr Bryant was last seen by his partner at 1.30pm on Tuesday (August 31) fishing on the lake. When he failed to return to Side Farm campsite, where the couple were holidaying, his partner reported her concerns to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team who commenced a search.
Two mountain rescue teams and Cumbria Police searched the lake along with four dogs, who covered surrounding areas.
Police believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death at this time. The coroner and Mr Bryant’s immediate family have been informed
