CUMBRIANS can still have their say on plans for an underground nuclear waste repository in the county.
The West Cumbria Managing Radioactive Waste Safely Partnership is looking at whether the region should be part of the search to find a suitable location for the site.
And it wants to hear from people before the consultation deadline of February 11.
The partnership is made up of many groups, including Churches Together, and the Lake District National Park Authority.
The Rev Lindsay Gray, of Churches Together, said: “This is a very important process for the county and, in particular, West Cumbria.
“We would urge everyone who lives here to get involved, find out what the facts are, and to let us know their views.”
