VANDALS have damaged hundreds of pounds worth of pheasant rearing equipment in Temple Sowerby.
Over a two-month period, electric gates have been tampered with, feeders, water tanks and holding pens have been interfered with, and gates have been smashed so they do not close properly on regular occasions.
Police believe that the acts are not the work of animal rights’ campaigners.
“It’s fair to say that we have no idea who these people are,” said PC Dave Mattinson, investigating.
