A NIGHT of high-class fashion came to Staveley’s Hawkshead Brewery as designer Ele Horsely launched her latest collection.
Based on steam trains, Miss Horsley’s dresses and jackets were paraded by models to an audience of local fashionistas.
It was the ex-Burbury designer’s fourth collection entitled ‘A Head of Steam’ and was a selection of her new styles for winter.
Ele, of Stott Park, Windermere, said: “It was a great evening, and a fantastic opportunity for me to showcase my new winter collection, which were all inspired by steam trains – the huge iron wheels, the beautiful paintwork, even the steam itself. ”
With backing music provided by guitarist Richard Pearse, models sashayed through the room sporting her vintage-themed draped velvet tea dress, voluminous taffeta cocktail dress and snuggly wool coats.
Make-up artists from The Body Shop were also on hand to give guests make-overs and make-up advice.
A raffle, including prizes donated by Agnes Rose oils, Ginger Bakers, Glynis Bland Photography, The Body Shop and The Hawkshead Brewery raised more than £101 for the Pakistan Flood Appeal.
