Busy period for Cumbria libraries

New figures show that libraries across Cumbria had a Christmas to remember last month.

From December 28 to 30 libraries in Kendal, Penrith and Carlisle had more than 5,000 customers inquiring about books, DVDs, public computer use and many other services. This was despite reduced opening hours of between two and six hours. Kendal had 1,558 visitors.
