Lakeland Sinfonia wins grant support

THE Lakeland Sinfonia Concert Society has been awarded a £57,000 Arts Council grant for the next three seasons of concerts.

Trustee Tim Keegan said the pledge would allow it society continue bringing top quality live classical music to the Kendal and South Lakes area.

He said the society could now plan to promote concerts with orchestras of the calibre of the Northern Sinfonia, BBC Philharmonic, Hallé and the local Lakeland Sinfonia.

Well done for 'Drumming' up that cash.I presume it must be like the Bemuda 'Triangle' out there getting funding.Obviously the award is a 'Symbol' of your efforts and I hope you are 'Trumpetting' your award.
