MEMBERS of North Yorkshire County Council are to be recommended to freeze council tax for the second year running when they meet to consider the council budget next month.
The council’s executive agreed on Tuesday to recommend acceptance of the Government’s offer of a one-off grant of £6m to avoid the need for a tax increase. The authority must find £69m savings over a four-year period as a result of Government cuts.
