SCENES for a BBC One romantic comedy series are to be filmed in Craven this month.
Antony and Cleopatra is a prime-time rom-com with a cast including Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire, Dean Andrews and Ronni Ancona.
Key scenes, including a car chase, are due to be filmed around Craven.
Dates and locations for filming have not been released as producers want to avoid crowds turning up to watch.
It is hoped the six-part series will give the district a tourism boost.
The drama has been written and created by Sally Wainwright, a former Coronation Street writer who also penned Scott & Bailey, Unforgiven and At Home With the Braithwaites.
Filming began late last month and it is understood a number of locations are being used across North and West Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Antony and Cleopatra will air on BBC One this year.
