MORE than 1,500 properties were left without electricity in Ambleside this morning.
Electricity North West said a cable fault at 7.17am cut power to 1,532 homes and businesses in Old Lake Road, Lake Road, Lower Stonecroft and St Mary’s Lane.
Power was restored to the affected properties shortly before 9am.
A spokesman for Electricity North West said it would investigate the cause of the fault and apologised for any inconvenience.
