    I think the traffic has been managed well considering its location on a direct route. It would be interesting to see how the public could come up with a better solution to those who have years of experience and training."

A591 road restrictions at Plumgarths to be lifted for two weeks

DISTRUPTIVE road works on a main route to the heart of the Lake District are to be suspended over the Easter holiday.

Resurfacing works at A591 Plumgarths Roundabout and Kendal Bypass are said to be on schedule with Phase 5 due to be completed by tomorrow (Sunday) for the Easter Holiday period.

The current route restrictions at Plumgarths Roundabout will be suspended for two weeks from tomorrow evening until the evening of April 15, when the final phaase of the resurfacing works begins.
