FIRE crews were called out to an incident on the M6 in Eden.

Two appliances from Penrith were called out at 3.58pm yesterday (Thursday) after a road traffic collision about 1 mile north of junction 41 on the southbound side.

A HGV carrying cardboard had overturned, but nobody was injured in the accident.

Fire crews were engaged making the scene safe using small tools, returning home just under two hours later.
