A Robbie Williams impersonator is backing a local cancer charity dedicated to helping patients and their families.

JK is to perform his set at CancerCare’s StarWalk event - when men and women are walking and running 10k in aid of the charity.

The Robbie Williams impersonator, who has made a named for himself across Cumbria and Lancashire, will perform hits including Angels and Rock DJ for crowds at the starting line at the Lakes Leisure Centre in Kendal on Saturday, May 19.

JK is donating his time free and said: “I’m very proud to be able to send the runners and walkers off in high spirit; it's such a fantastic cause. I'm not a runner but I have been training for the London marathon this year and I know what a challenge it has been. 10k is a great distance I think it's fantastic that so many have got involved. Maybe I’ll run it with them if I have any energy left by then”

CancerCare, which has a base in Kendal and Lancaster, offers free services to support people affected by cancer and anyone wanting to take part in the StarWalk, which starts at 9pm, should register at www.starwalk.org.uk
