An actor and singer has been spotted splashing his cash during a shopping trip to the Lake District.
Robson Green, famous for his chart-topping hits with Jerome Flynn, kitted his family out in wetsuits while on the shores of Windermere.
The 47-year-old, who presented Robson Green’s Wild Swimming Adventure, turned up to the end of a trying-on session organised by open-water swimming experts, Head to the Hills, of Ambleside.
Co-owner, Andrea Tucker, said: “We were just packing up at the end of the day when they turned up. We organised an impromptu fitting service for them at the back of our van."
Mr Green was keen to buy the same make of wetsuit for his sister and her husband - a 2XU - that he wore in his television swimming journey.
“Throughout the programmes Robson is pictured in a 2XU V1 wetsuit, so we already knew he has good taste,” said Miss Tucker. “He was really pleasant, as were his sister and brother-in-law, and we chatted about his latest television project, Extreme Fishing.
“He told us that he had always been drawn to the water, and said: ‘Maybe it’s all the fun it’s given me, all the adventures. Perhaps it’s how I feel when I’m in it - I feel free’.”
