Police name man who died while walking up Pavey Ark

POLICE have named the man who died after a fall from Pavey Ark at Great Langdale.
The walker was Howard Gladwyn, 48, from Menston, in Ilkely.
He is believed to have died after a 800 ft fall while walking up the rocky route, just before 12.30pm, on Friday.
The air ambulance, RAF Sea King and Langdale and Ambleside mountain rescue teams were deployed to the scene where, sadly, he was found dead.
There are currently no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the case will be passed to the coroner.
