Train journeys made easier with new app

A NEW mobile phone app has been launched to help train passengers in Cumbria, North Lancashire and Yorkshire plan their journeys.

First TransPennine Express has also set up the Twitter feed, @tpeassist, where customers can tweet their queries, and a mobile website, m.texpress.co.uk, with up to the minute departure and arrival information.

The firm is responding to legislation from the Office of Rail Regulation to ensure train operators are providing ‘appropriate, accurate and timely information’ for passengers.
