Wallace and Gromit memorabilia to feature in Silverdale charity sale
8:25am Monday 9th July 2012 in News
ORIGINAL Wallace and Gromit memorabilia will go on sale at a fund-raising event on Friday.
The Friends of Chernobyl’s Children in Silverdale will hold a ‘Grand Auction’ for the charity.
And patron Nick Park, who invented the loveable plasticine duo, has donated some unique items.
They include a pair of hand-painted bookends used in the Curse of the Werewolf film, and a specially drawn picture, both signed by Mr Park.
Charity founder Olwyn Keogh said: “We have children coming from Chernobyl in September, so this auction is crucial to raise funds.”
Also up for sale will be tickets to see the musical Billy Elliot in London’s West End, two apartment holidays in the French Alps and a guided tour of St Paul’s Cathedral.
There will also be home-made jams, marmalades, cakes and reflexology sessions as part of the 80-lot auction.
The event will be at the Gaskell Hall, Silverdale, from 7.30pm on Friday evening (July 13).
