DETECTIVES have released a e-fit in an effort to track down a sex offender.
Cumbria Police have issued the image to help catch the man responsible for a minor sexual assault to a 25-year-old Dalton woman.
The crime took place at around 7.20pm on Friday, June 29, when the woman was walking on Station Road, in Dalton-in-Furness.
The male appeared to have been walking along Station Road from the direction of the Police Station towards the Railway Station.
DC Cheryl Smith said: “An investigation was launched as soon as we received the complaint however now we have more detail about the male’s description we have been able to put an e-fit together in the hope that it jogs someone’s memory and more witnesses come forward.
“The victim fortunately didn’t sustain any injuries and has been able to help us create this e-fit of the male who assaulted her.
“He is described as a white male of a medium build, aged between 16 and 17, between 5’ 10” and 6’ tall. He was wearing a camel-coloured parker type jacket. He had mousey brown shoulder length hair which was thick, wavy and one length covering the sides of his face.
“If you recognise who this person could be, or if you have any information that can help our enquiry, please contact me in Barrow CID on 101.”
