Police appeal after motorbike collision at Devil's Bridge

POLICE have appealed for witnesses following an accident involving three cars and a motorbike in Kirkby Lonsdale.

Officers said the motorcycle was in a collision with a Land Rover Freelander after the driver of the car, a 37-year-old man from Burnley, had to perform an emergency stop on the A65 at Devil's Bridge yesterday around 11.15am.

A second car, a silver Volkswagen Golf, also had to emergency stop.

The motorbike rider and pillion passenger were both injured in the collision.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of a third car, a silver Vauxhall Astra, who officers say did not stop at the scene but may be unaware they had been involved in the accident as they turned into a side road.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 1703 Graham at the Kendal Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
