Appeal for witnesses after A6 collision

Police have appealed for witnesses after a collision between two cars on the A6 near Levens on Friday evening.
A spokesman said the collision was between a silver vehicle which left the A590 eastbound and a dark coloured Toyota on the A6, close to the Levens and Milnthorpe junction.
There was extensive damage to the Toyota though the driver was not injured.
The driver of the silver car left the scene after the collision, shortly after 6pm.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, should contact PC Hesmondhalgh on 101.
