Amy gets TV break in Coronation Street

TALENTED young actor Amy Forrest is in the national spotlight as she treads the cobbles of one of the UK’s most famous streets.

The former Kirkbie Kendal student has just finished filming one of the most exciting roles of her career – playing the role of ditsy Nikki to be shown over two episodes of Coronation Street, tomorrow (Friday).

Amy, 28, said when she first received the news of the role from her agent over the telephone she couldn’t believe it.

She added: “I just burst out crying. You never expect it to happen but it makes all the work worthwhile.”

And she added: “It was amazing. I just embraced it all – and you never know I might be asked back.”
