Police confirm identity of woman who died in Ambleside

Police today have confirmed the identity of the woman who died in Outgate, Ambleside, on Tuesday (August 21). At 10:00 pm police were called to a property in Outgate, Ambleside, where a woman had been assaulted and died.
The woman has now formally been identified as Jane Marie Theresa Archbold, aged 77 from Ambleside.
Police officers are continuing to support her family.
