Update: Police charge man with murder

Robert Adam Pierre Archbold, 48, from Outgate, near Ambleside, has been charged with the murder of Jane Marie Theresa Archbold, 77.
On Tuesday (August 21) at 10pm police were called to a property in Outgate where Mrs Archbold had been assaulted. She died despite attempts at resuscitation by paramedics.
Robert Adam Pierre Archbold was arrested on suspicion of murder at 12.41am on Wednesday, August 22, following a search of the area.
He will appear at Furness District Magistrates court on Friday (August 24).
