Motorcyclist who died near Kendal is named

THE biker who died in an accident on the A6 at Selside near Kendal has been named.
Police have confirmed that Christopher Edward Garside, aged 34, from Kendal, was killed after a head-on collision yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 1.35pm when a black Suzuki motorcycle, ridden by Mr Garside, collided with a blue Renault Scenic that contained a family of five from the Penrith area who had been travelling towards Kendal.
Despite the efforts of police officers, paramedics and the crew of the air ambulance, Mr Garside was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family in the Renault suffered minor injuries.
Police are urging any witnesses to the incident to contact PC 566 Colin Kean at the Kendal Roads Policing Unit on 101.
