Thieves could have caused injury to Dallam School children - police

CHILDREN in Milnthorpe could have been ‘seriously injured’ after tyres where swapped on their schoolbus, police say.

Thieves took two new Michelin tyres worth £500 from a Dallam School minibus and replaced them with bald ones, each fixed in place by just one wheel nut.

The incident happened on the school grounds sometime between 3pm on Friday (August 31) and 9am on Monday (September 3).

A police spokesman said: “Had the minibus been driven, serious injury could have been caused.”
