Kendal BGT star to help disabled twins

Kendal personality and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Steven Hall is stepping on stage to raise cash for twin sisters who need a life-changing operation.
The comedy dancer, who won the hearts of the nation when he appeared on the show in 2011, will tke part in a fun day in the hope of boosting funds for 15-year-old Katie and Emma Sutcliffe who have spastic diplegic cerebral palsy, Their condition causes stiffness and pain in their legs and means that they have to rely on their wheelchairs most of the time.
The family need to raise £85,000 to travel to St Louis Hospital, Missouri, where the girls will have an operation to reduce the tightness in their muscles, followed by intensive physiotherapy and exercise.
And the Vale of Lune Rugby Club, Lancaster, will host the fun day on Sunday, September 16.
Mum Caroline Sutcliffe, said: “We are really pleased with the support we have received from the local community and have so far raised nearly £12,000.
“While this is a brilliant start, we are aware that there is still a long way to go."
CEO of the charity Caudwell Children, Trudi Beswick, said: “This type of operation has a proven track record of improving the lives of children with Cerebral Palsy and we are pleased to help try and raise the money they need.
"We need to raise a lot of money in a relatively short time and with help the local community we are positive that the girls will soon have the independence that they deserve.”
Ambassadors for the charity include Hollywood actress and author, Joan Collins, actress Elizabeth Hurley and Robbie Williams.
