Fire breaks out at Kendal beauty store

FIRE crews have been called to a blaze, this evening, at a Kendal shop.

Three teams were called to Hollywood Nails, on Kendal's Highgate, after pedestrians spotted a fire at the store.

St Thomas' school pupil Sophie Murphy noticed the fire while she was being driven past the store. Her mother Jeanett stopped their car and called emergency services.

Fire officers cordoned off the town centre premises at around 6.20pm, this evening, and put out the flames.

No one was reported to be injured.
