Kendal wedding fair to raise funds for CancerCare

A KENDAL company’s first wedding fair will help blushing brides plan their big day while raising money for a good cause.
All proceeds from Armstrong Ward’s event, which will be held in store between 11am and 3pm on September 30, will be donated to CancerCare.
The fair will bring together South Lakeland businesses which offer wedding-related services and products, including hairdressers, jewellers, bakers and florists.
Armstrong Ward will also showcase its new wedding list service, a personal concierge-style service allowing couples to choose items from the store for their wedding list.
Tickets for the event are £5, which includes a ‘glass of fizz’ and a goody bag containing discount vouchers and product samples.
There will be a prize draw to win more than £1,000 of vouchers.
Tickets are available from the store, in Wainwright’s Yard.
