Missing Nottinghamshire woman may be in the Lake District

A WOMAN who has not been seen for two years could be in the Lake District, police say.

Debbie Starbuck, formerly known as Debbie Cooper, 44, has been missing from her Nottingham home since April 21, 2010.

In March this year, a friend informed police that he had not heard from her since that day and was concerned, as it was completely out of character.

Debbie has lived in London, Northamptonshire, Dublin, and may also have stayed in the Lake District.

She is described as white, between 5ft 4” and 5ft 5” tall and of medium build. She was last seen with shoulder-length brown wavy hair.

A police spokesperson said: “We want to hear from anyone who knows Debbie but is yet to speak to the police. If you have seen her since April 21, we also need to hear from you.

“You may recognise Debbie as someone who has stayed at your hotel or hostel, or you may have travelled with her. If you know where she is, please let us know.

“Debbie is well travelled but her family and friends raised concerns because they have not heard from her.

"She would always be in touch for birthdays and special occasions but for the last two years, she doesn’t seem to have made contact with anyone.”
