11:21am Saturday 6th October 2012 in News
A FURNESS woman scared off a burglar as he tried to break through her window yesterday morning .
The suspect, described as a man in his mid-20s, wore orange safety gloves as he removed the glass from the window of the Railway Terrace house in Lindal.
He made off on foot after the owner of the house disturbed him.
He was wearing a blue top and blue jogging bottoms, and had short, cropped mousy-coloured hair.
Police are trying to trace two males that were seen nearby at the time of the incident, 11.30am.
One was wearing a blue top, possibly a hooded top, and the other was in a grey hooded top. One was of large build and the other of medium build.
Anyone with information should contact PC 2017 Edwards at Dalton Police Station through non-emergency 101.
