Fell runner dies after collapsing in Lake District race

A fell runner who collapsed while competing in the Ian Hodgson Fell Race has died.
Darren Holloway, 42, from Ilkeston in Derbyshire, was airlifted to Furness General Hospital yesterday after he collapsed at Fairfield Horsehoe in Patterdale at 1pm yesterday.
His family has been informed and the case has been passed to the coroner.
