THE son of Gordon Park - who died today on his 66th birthday while serving a life sentence in prison - says he still believes his father is innocent.
Jeremy Park has been at the forefront of the 'Free Gordon' campaign ever since his father was convicted of murdering his mother in 2005, 28 years after she went missing.
Her body was found in Coniston Water in 1997.
Mr Park told The Westmorland Gazette: "My whole family is completely devastated by the news and completely united and strong in our believe that he was 100 per cent innocent."
