LOCAL children’s author of the King and Wizard Stories, Neil Johnson, opened a new exhibition at Carnforth Station Visitor Centre.

A collection of forty original watercolour paintings by the Warton artist, Victoria Flack, have gone on display at the centre.

The paintings are used to illustrate Mr Johnson’s three books: Magic in Valdovar, Dreams of Valdovar and Wonders of Valdovar.

Fans of the fantasy books, published by Marius Press, joined MP Geraldine Smith and members of the Carnforth Station Trust at the opening.

An exhibition of Mr Johnson’s and Ms Flack’s books and paintings will also be held at the Heron Theatre, Beetham, throughout September and October.
