A SCHOOL has been given the go ahead to build a special temporary classroom for a pupil with special needs.
Storth Primary School, at Storth near Milnthorpe applied to Cumbria County Council for planning permission to site a pre-fabricated unit in the school grounds for use as a “withdrawal room” for a child with autistic spectrum disorder.
The application requested permission to site the unit in the grounds for up to four years by which time the school hoped to have funding in place to build a permanent extension to accommodate the facilities.
