Wind and rain puts piad to Halloween fun

PREDICTED poor weather has resulted in a seasonal event being cancelled this weekend.

The Halloween Spooktacular event was due to take place at Happy Mount Park in Morecambe but has been canclled by Lancaster City Council following warnings from the Met Office about high winds and heavy rain.

A spokesman said: "This, combined with the amount of electrical equipment that was planned to be used, means the event has had to be cancelled for health and safety reasons.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and any advanced tickets purchased can be fully refunded by telephoning 01524-582803."
