Cartmel cash for charity

An auction of promises and a five-course meal will be getting underway in Cartmel on November 22 in aid of a cancer charity.
The event, which starts at 7pm and costs £45, is in aid of Cancer Research UK and organiser Wendy Wellburn hopes that the cause raises £10,000.
Tickets are from the village shop in Cartmel or from Wendy on 015395-36105.
